Beginner, intermediate and advanced dancers are invited to join Jessica and Somer, two of Argentine Tango’s most respected dancers and teachers for a full weekend of inspiring dance instruction. 

Their clarity and simple approach to teaching tango has helped thousands of students of all levels to advance easily.

All events will take place at The Lab, a dedicated music and dance studio that has hosted many tango workshops over the years.

WEEKEND WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

FRIDAY Nov. 18

Workshop 7-8:30pm    

Express yourself through different dynamics in your dance (All Levels)

Practilonga 8:30-11:00pm

SATURDAY Nov. 19

Workshop 1-2:30pm     

Catching the moment for the gentle boleos (All Levels)

Workshop 2:45-4:15pm 

Milonga: Let the music move you through rhythmical patterns (Intermediate)

Milonga with performance  7-12pm

SUNDAY Nov. 20

Smooth change of directions for creamy Vals (Intermediate)

REGISTRATION 

NO PREREGISTRATION NEEDED  ARRIVE 15 minutes early to your 1st session to register. Cheque, cash or paypal.

Full weekend pass 5 workshops + practilonga + milonga: $140 ($100 student)

One workshop class: $40 ($35 student)

Two or more workshop classes: $30 each ($25 student).

Practilonga on Friday: $15   

Saturday Milonga with Performance: $25

Jessica Štšerbakova started dancing at the age 4 and began competing professionally. At age 15 she earned 10th place in the Word Championships.  Her impeccable technique, precise musicality and her natural style of movements make it look so easy for the audiences. Jessica is one of the great examples as an accomplished dancer, instructor and a choreographer in Argentine Tango and among all the other Latin Dances. She is also a certified Bailatino Instructor. Jessica has been working for 10 years in Danceact, which is the most prestigious dance school in Baltics. She has been teaching around the world for more than 10 years.

 

Somer Surgit is an accomplished performer and instructor of tango who makes this dance seem simple and sophisticated at the same time. The elegance and weightlessness of his movements are natural and flowing. Somer has been traveling to Buenos Aires for his training since 2004. Gustavo Naveira, Chicho Frumboli, Cecilia Gonzalez, Eugenia Parrilla, and Pablo Veron are some of the great teachers and performers that he has studied with. Somer has taught and performed with Cecilia Gonzalez at one of the most prestigious festivals in the world -- the CITA in Buenos Aires from 2009-2012. He has been traveling and teaching all over the world since 2003.
